Happy New Year!!! I am not really the type of person that has a bunch of New Years resolutions, but I guess I'll give it a shot. This year I have 5 major goals that I will try to achieve by the end of the year. First of all I would like to get straight A's for the entire year. So far I have gotten all A's but I am not sure about the grades for this quarter. I did not get straight A's last year so this year I really want to step it up. My second goal is to get up and do more activities. I am a REALLY lazy person and would rather stay at home and sleep than go outside. Another goal is to finish all the things that I started. There are a lot of things that I started a long time ago and I haven't completed, like that puzzle that has been sitting on the table for as long as I can remember. My fourth goal is to learn another instrument. This is something I do every year and has become a tradition. My last goal is to read more. I don't even remember the last time I read a book (and I don't think that's a good thing). My most important goal is to do more activities. I feel like the fact that I'm super lazy is really setting myself back from what I really want to achieve. I keep telling myself "I should do this" or "Let's go do that," but I never actually do it because I always push it away and say, "I'll do it later." I really want to change that and I'm going to start now, and I am actually being serious this time. I don't want to live a boring life of just sitting inside all day, I actually want to go outside and explore and be with friends and family. I do not want to spend half my life sleeping. To make sure I achieve these goals, I am going to write it down on different pieces of paper and put it in a places that I will always look at it. For example, I'm going to put it in my binder, on the fridge, etc. Usually if I always see it, it will start to bug me that nothing is crossed off. I will definitely make sure that at the end of the year my list is finished and everything is crossed off. If it's not, I will add it to my 2017 resolutions and hope that I do it next year. I really do have faith in myself and I do not want to let myself down. |
