Like I said in my previous blog post, in GT we are working on animations. Each team needs to pick someones story, and in my team we decided to choose my story which is me facing my fears. My team's focus statement is "Sophia Faces Fears." It really tells our story because our story is about me facing my fears (which is pretty self explanatory). But because it is pretty boring to make a whole minute long animation about facing your fears, we decided to add more to it. So it starts with me falling asleep while reading a Harry Potter book, and in my dream I dream that I am in the movie/book. We thought that it would make our animation more interesting while still keeping our focus statement strong.
When people watch it, they will learn that sometimes you just have to face your fears even if you don't want to. They will be able to tell because in our animation someone tells me to face my greatest fears and afterward I am rewarded by getting a trophy. That shows that facing your fears can have a reward to it. My team thinks that our animation is original and that it will have a big impact on people that have many fears. Besides trying to put a message out, I think that our animation is pretty funny as well because all of the voices besides mine, were done in British accents. As a team, we had many, and I mean MANY, struggles. When we first became a group together, I think that our teamwork was actually going along pretty well. It wasn't too hard for us to all agree on a topic. When we started to split up the scenes and go and film, we were having a very hard time because nobody could agree on what to do. There were some pretty big arguments and we even needed the teacher to help resolve the problem. In the end, we sort of came up with an agreement. I think that we were having struggles because our team had 5 people but all of the other groups had 4. I guess you could say that I won't work in another group with all of them together again, but hey, who knows. |
