Hello! Right now in GT we are doing photomontages. David Hockney is a famous photographer known for his photomontages. He is supposed to be our inspiration. David Hockney's photomontages compared to mine are very different. His photomontages are a little more abstract and they don't necessarily have a literal meaning. I try to make my photomontages abstract but sometimes they don't actually turn out that way. David Hockney has his own unique style and I don't want to copy him exactly.
Images have the power to send negative and positive messages. It can be happy, sad, mad, dark, bright, almost anything. For example, a bright picture of a beach can send a positive message. A dark rainy day can send a negative message. I think that color and emotion has a lot to do with what kind of message it is sending. Photographers try to send messages through their photos by using these types of things.
The message that I want everyone to see in my final photomontage is that music is very important to me. In my photo there are some pretty crazy things going on in the background but the guitar stands out the most because that is only thing that is pieced together right. It's thing only thing that actually makes sense in my photomontage and I want people to notice that. I really hope that people are able to see some kind of message when they look at my photomontages. I don't know what kind of message they see, but I hope they see something.
What's up people!
