It is hard admitting this, but I am a procrastinator. I don't try to be, but it is just a bad habit of mine. I will always know when a project is due but in my head I always think that we have a lot of time for it. Then on the last day I finally realize that I only have a day and I end up doing it at the last minute...literally. I would say that procrastinating is the cause of my bad grades, but so far I haven't gotten anything but good grades so that is great, but that still doesn't mean that I should procrastinate.
Me being a procrastinator does cause a lot of stress, and sometimes the stress really goes to my head. But there are some days that after school I am really tired and I just can't focus on my homework. Sometimes I just forget all about my homework and I have to stay up late just working on my homework. I also have lots of after school activities. The only days that I have absolutely nothing after school is on Tuesdays and Thursdays. That means that for most of the week I have less time after school to work on my homework and other projects. I get super stressed when things aren't done.
To change my habits, I would try to not be on my electronics so much unless I'm doing school work. I will also put reminders on my phone so at a certain time everyday it will go beep and the reminder will say,"why aren't you doing homework." I will also start on my homework as soon as I get home so I don't forget about it. When there is a big project, I will try to do it all on the first day so I don't forget about it and so I don't have to deal with the stress.

It is a brand new school year! We have to wake up early, get ready for school and then we have to sit down and LEARN. But this year is my very first year starting Kapaa Middle School, which is a big change for me.
My favorite part about middle school is that we get to chose two electives. I chose GT and P.E. and they are my favorite classes so far. But Language Arts is pretty good too. I like these classes the best because I like the teachers and the way they teach.
I also like how there is a little more freedom in middle school. You can walk around at lunch and you don't have to sit in the cafeteria. But with more freedom they expect more from you.
My biggest challenge is trying to be successful. I am striving to be the best student I can be (which is hopefully at the top). But I have been having some trouble with the homework we have been getting, especially because they are using different reading and math books that are different from the ones we used last year. Even though it's very confusing, I will still try my best and ask questions if I need to.
This is me and my crazy friend Arianna!
